FS 18 NGM ZL1 1LE, Katech 8k RPM LT4 Street/Track Full E85 / 93
For sale is my personal 2018 NGM ZL1 1LE. I am the third owner and purchased this vehicle from a Katech engineer with 16,000 miles. The Katech engineer purchased this with 3,500 miles in near stock trim (intake and full exhaust) from a Porsche race fleet owner, driven by Ty Gibbs. The car has just over 24,000 miles now, with 2,000 on the full new build. The original build was from an engineer over at Katech, it featured an experimental high RPM Magnuson road race package. I then bought this from the owner and sent it back to Michigan for additional upgrades. A former Katech technician with a new shop completed the work by partnering back up with Katech to get a new 416 shortblock + additional cosmetics and performance upgrades. No expenses were spared in the build, it will cost you the price of 2 ZL1's to recreate this.
This is a premier built, heavily but tastefully modified ZL1 1LE that can be driven across country on 93 or E85, beaten to death on track, and driven back home without any issues. The car has a redline of 8,000 RPM and makes peak power there. This is an extremely efficient build that survives Florida heat reliably. The valvetrain has been validated to 9,500 RPM, so there is a factor of safety for money shifts (please don't do that). The low side fuel system holds 80 psi of fuel pressure with full E85, and this is fueled by a custom port injection setup, with injector dynamics filters, XDI 30% over injectors, and more. If you want to lose the RPM and turn up the boost/power, the sky is the limit. I completely redid the interior with quality upgrades. It is extremely comfortable and enjoyable to drive. It features a 2019+ Camaro Rear View Mirror with Camera, Audiofrog and JL Speaker upgrades, completely dynomatted interior and full NVM treatment, on every piece of bare sheet metal under the factory carpet. IMO it’s a major reduction in cabin temperature transfer and road noise. My CCM is calibrated custom for NPP actuation refinement, making it not crack open the valves too early on part throttle driving. This is truly the ultimate street warrior car that can be taken to a car show, or racing at the racetrack. It is refined and quiet, with all the power potential in the world. I chose the high rpm build path to enjoy the driving experience more, having an LT4 that sings to 8000 rpm is truly special. The bypass valve is modified, so it retains the factory boost control and PTM traction control intervention. Not only is it fast with 30% more powerband, but the computer actually controls it when you decide to have fun. My plan was to keep this car indefinitely, but unfortunately a medical issue is preventing me from being able to drive it. I want this car to go to an owner that I know will enjoy the driving experience. I am looking to get $89,995 for the vehicle with the matching set of Apex Wheels with drag radials. If you want to compare my price to the market, this is not the car for you given the upgrades and investment into refining the driving experience and longevity of the car.
