Splitter Lip Help
Hello, I'm looking for some advise on purchasing a front lip for my 2023 Camaro LT1.
Considerations: -I want to keep the look very OEM. The factory 1LE lip is exactly what I'm looking for but the part is discontinued (84116168) -Needs to be gloss black, not interested in getting a body shop involved. -I see there are a bunch of replicas available but I'm not sure if there is a consensus on which most closely matched factory. -Ideally I'd like to keep the cost under $500 -I also see there are a number of other GM lip offerings, but the stock images are not super helpful. Here are a few examples: 84486681, 85837791, 84544270, 84132662, RP16-2001. -I dislike lips that are protruding very far out from the bumper, more subtle is my style. The closest ive come is this one from ACS, but its a bit pricy: https://www.phastekperformance.com/2...r-48-4-019.htm If you have images or experiences to share of your installed lip that would be helpful. 84486681 is the revised variant of this original 1LE splitter you're looking for. It's a more aggressive design with sharper edges, which is not everyone's cup of tea indeed.
At this point I'm afraid you'll need to settle with an aftermarket part, and the cheaper ones are hollow bottom and/or less sturdy than the originals. Now, ACS is the company that GM contracted for their OEM part, so chances are their pricy equivalent is actually the same part without the gm logo and part number, except they jacked up the price. If you can swallow this crazy price, either this one or a high end carbon fiber piece would work very well.

Here you go. They are all OEM. And they are all on sale, lucky you
![]() I have the GEN II ground effects in carbon flash metallic. They look awesome. Perfect fit. Took about 2 hours to install. https://www.thedrive.com/wp-content/...all&quality=85 |

The front splitter you're after is considered the "first generation" by the part number you've provided... I just did a search with 84116168 and it appears a few places show still available under your 500 mark so check the sources and reach out before dropping the cash... Here's mine that was included with the GM GBA black ground effects package

It does seem to still be available at certain sites (for example, here)... but I had several of these dealerships cancel on me in the past once I placed an actual order for similar discontinued parts, because they don't keep large and rarely needed parts such as splitters or spoilers in inventory, and of course reordering from the supplier was no longer an option. All that said, good luck with your quest, OP, whichever route you choose. I hope you'll be able to source an original splitter, I feel it fits best with the body lines and especially the rear spoiler, be it the standard SS or standard ZL1 part.
