Hey was that an option? You didn't tell me about that!

So... This is pretty cool! Alex Ponke at Katech Engineering who did the vast majority of my "Beast" build, as I will now for forever refer to it as! Did a time lapse video of the build. I can't thank him enough and I want to publicly show my appreciation for his efforts and Thank him for all he did for my build. Top notch people and top notch company. A lot of people (not here) gave me SH for taking my car to Katech as they are known to be a bit pricey. But, hey, for me, it was ALL worth every penny, and I'd do it a hundred times over if I had the chance! Alex, thanks again for doing such a great job on my build!

Update: !!!! Getting ready for 6 hour round trip to/from my house to Katech to pick up the ZL1 !!! Can't WAIT !!!!

Once it's back, I'll start the process of installing the new roll cage, fire suppression system, the parachute kit and get the new Weld Vitesse wheels on! Probably hit Car's and Coffee tomorrow morning it's going to be a really nice day here in Cow Town !

Update: This was the night I got home with the car from Katech! It sounds soooo GREAT! Also, I was worried about the blower whine being uneventful or rather barley noticeable. But, it still whine's! I went to Car's and Coffee yesterday, and just by doing a good pull away from a light, I can immediately hear the blower! I'm still getting use to the slightly higher idle RPM (I think for CAM smoothing at idle). But, it felt great getting behind the wheel again ! I never really got into it the pedal much, as the tires appeared to be flat spotted from sitting on the concrete in Katech's garage. I plan on getting the new Weld Vitesse's on either late this evening or later this week. Then, start the process of installing all the other things I'm doing!

Bro! Tell me about that garage... My city will only allow me to build up, but not out. F'n GREEN SPACE percentage. I call BS, they say that's find but you still won't get your building permit approved!

Such BS, I want out of this city so dang bad! Actually, If I would have backed in at an angle (or pull out at an angle), that scape doesn't happen. I just haven't had the car for so long, I forgot the angle trick!

Update: Here are the Vitesse Weld Forged wheels that replaced my Solana's ! The front looks a little out of sorts, because I have the other front side jacked up fixing that front light that's unhooked.

Great video and you have something to cherish your whole life. These guys make it look so easy but, you know it's not and they are pro's. Really like your wheels set up, are you sure that is enough meat for that beast.

Update: Last evening, I started the process of installing the RPM Roll Bars 6-point roll cage, which is actually turning into an 8-point roll cage (I' pretty sure this is what I'll end up doing the 8-point). RPM Roll Bars offers an 8-point add-on kit to their 6-point kit which I already have. The 8-point kit also comes with the window net assembly and net! Kind of wondering what I got myself into however. The installation instructions are very lengthy, very detail (which is good) and pretty much require removing ALL interior components. So I'll see how far I get and how long it takes! One good thing is I already installed the rear seat delete, which I love! Also, I guess now is the time to also address installing the fire suppression since I'll have the car ripped apart. No need to rip it apart twice!

Info: WOW, did I totally remove that first seat 100% the wrong way (kind of). There are only two 15 size torques bit bolted that keep the seat bolted in. Then then the whole seat and frame work slide back about an 1", and the whole thing comes out together. Only need to disconnect the yellow electronics and airbag connector from under the seat and take a single bolt out of the seat bel support attached to the floor. The drivers side I took out the correct way!

Progress today should be to complete to roll cage install. I'm also installing Dynamat Sound proofing on all bare metal, seat self and flooring that I can. My car is much louder now that I have the seat delete kit installed.

I found the sound too loud also inside after putting on the AWE touring exhaust with the build I have so I did the same with Kilmat. Then in the trunk I put Dynamat over the Kilmat It made a difference but, no actual measurement. I can imagine the sound much louder with the seat delete. That roll cage looks awesome. Are you doing different seats?

Smoking19 - That is AWESOME!!! WOW You were able to cover a lot more than I was originally thinking could be cover! GREAT! I'm ordering more Dynamat to make sure I can do as much as possible. Thanks for the information and the photo!
