Erratic Driving Mode Selection Issue
Hi Guys I need some help. Last week tested my battery and determined it was weak. I found codes U150F, U0184 and U0140 which I attributed to having a weak battery so I replaced it. Now I am unable to select Track driving mode, when I hit the mode button what shows up on the dash is erratic. In addition, I have a message on the dash "Service Front Camera".
Has anyone experienced this situation in the past? If so, how was it resolved.

It may sound counter intuitive but try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.
Low voltage from the dying battery will set fault codes, yea you disconnected the battery to replace it, but then it became the 1st trip of the new cycle. It then saw everything working but it doesn't stop the fact that the last trip it saw was a fault trip. So now that voltage is normal, when you disconnect it again it will recognize the last trip was a good one. It will for the most part "start over". It wont hurt to try it, otherwise you would need to put a scanner on it and look at all the modules for codes and clear them out. |

Thanks Bishopts I'll disconnect the battery tonight and let it sit overnight and give it whirl in the Morning. It's worth a try. I called the dealership to get a diagnostics performed. They said I had to leave the car overnight. That's crazy. I rather try your suggestion. Again, thanks.

Similar happened to me when it was stored for the winter for a couple of months without charger. First drive didn't have drive modes enabled. Drove for an hour, shut it down and locked it. Once I fired it back up after leaving it for a few mins, everything back to normal.
