In other words, they are good true rims, that may look bad.
the tires are good, but will not grip & go, because they are getting old & hard.

these would make good winter tires (except for being old & slickery) so you don't mess up your fancy rims.

or they would make good Autocross tires (except for being slickery) so you don't chew off the shoulders on your DD tires due to much Toe from the factory alignments.

since our cars do not have spare tires, I want a set of tires to put one spare in each of my extended family's garage - in case I get a flat hours away from home,, i have a tire & rim to get me home.

we plan to be on the Blue Ridge parkway a LOT this summer, but I don't want to use luggage space on every trip to carry a spare. the convertible top may not even go down with a spare tire in there?
