I was anxious about lifting this car for the first time but the 6 jack pads is my #1 method now. The chassis of my 1le is so stiff I actually lifted both the front and back of the car at the floor jack point at the same time. Didn't have to touch the mount point near the rear diff.
Smart idea. The mag puck smashes up the pinch weld a little.
And I agree. I was so scared about jacking the car up but after installing the addons and using the mag puck. It takes like 3 minutes to get the car up on all four stands. Feels very safe. So easy.

I recently had my wheels powder coated and had to put my car on jack stands for several days. After looking at dozens of post and reviews, I decided on the following from Amazon. I wanted something stable with the pinch weld. These worked great.

The pads are available at Amazon at the following link:

I have some rubber ones that I got off of Amazon fairly inexpensive. bit of a pain in the ass to use. And when I went to the tire shop I just make sure that they use my Rubber products, that way they don't mess nothing up

I have a ZL1 ADDONS MAGPAD, a floor jack, and a pair of the shown Craftsman floor jacks. Once lifted with the MAGPAD/floor jack do I need to put anything between the jack stand and the pinch weld, do I have the wrong style jack stand?

old thread, but good pics for my question.

what width is the convertible pinch weld & what size gap do I need in the Jacking puck to clear the convertible pinch weld.

the dealership always the "new kid" do oil changes, and always bent the pinch welds on my 4th gen, by jacking where it says DO NOT JACK HERE..

so, yeah, bolting these on the car for dealer visits might be good.
