I need a garage.

Had my 24 under a cover all through the ice storm we just had but I’m driving it tomorrow so I took the cover off today. Right where one of the straps connects to the cover something chewed several holes in it.

I don’t deal with that outside stuff anymore. I rent a storage unit for mine. It’s all good except having to pay lol

Covers in wind will rub the paint. In high wind for long durations they'll grind all the way down to bare metal.

Exactly, my neighbor recently got a Mustang GT 5.0 and he covers it outside, sometimes without washing it... I told him I wouldn't do that if I were him, but he still does... Young guy without any car knowledge... I mean, it's a Mustang, so no real loss... But...

it's amazing how stupid we can be..and God still blesses us.

had a mustang sit out outside dead (blew motor @140k miles, dropped a valve)

mice had got into it BAD. but there was huge Black Snake skin (2 feet) where it had molted and use the HVAC components to crawl thru and scrape the old skin off.

so IDK which is worse, rat pea & chewed wires, or the near death fear that snake might still be in there...

but yeah, the snake prevented the mice from destroying the wiring & the interior.
trunk was HORRIBLE full of mice mess.

I would sell feet pics before I wouldn't have a garage. I"ve always rented townhomes with 2bed/2ba/2car garage. This current garage is more like 2.5 and I have it set up better than most homeowners garages. Have all my tools mounted to the wall, power washer setup with reel on the wall. Shelving for all my supplies in the ante room that is heated. First thing I did was hang my Quick Jacks. I wouldn't ever not have a nice home for my Camaro to be protected in.

While I have the "Fort Knox" of Car ports. Nothing has to actually touch the car, car stays dry, rodents have all sorts of metal mesh and deterrents to get around to even get to the car...
But still can't wait until I get it fully enclosed, drywalled, and heated. Biggest thing left for me is not having the temp swings between frozen/unfrozen. Hate the condensation that causes.

Understood. My garage stays at 40-45 but I'm often tinkering with a propane heater so it gets a toasty 80 in here 4-5 days a week. I feel bad for all the folks who can't afford a garage and are constantly dealing with theft.
