I've read enough reviews between this page and the corvette page that I pulled the trigger on it. Can't thank everyone enough for their perspectives I'm looking forward to it.

I think I will be getting one of these too. Are there ever any sales?

Yes. ....but if you PM Tony and ask nicely, lol. He might say no, haha, but it can't hurt to ask.

OK my 2 cents on the tb........ first off very prompt shipping and great customer service. Tony was even kind enough to respond to an email Sunday evening when I had questions. Anyway shipped Monday morning from Cali arrived here in NC today. After a 10 minute install, fired the car up and let it idle for a few just to get up to temp. Took the car for a quick spin and the throttle response is just as everyone says. No hesitation at all as it was previously she just moves. Butt dyno was clinched as I got into boost and she started fish tailing. LoL Looking at the logs nothing really changed up to 5k rpm. Next ride I'll give it some gas but over all a great product and just as good as advertised. Great product Tony much appreciated...........

Thank you Derrick (I think that's you!?)

The more you drive it the more you will appreciate all the little positive nuances to the throttle it improves.

As I have mentioned many times previously this upgrade is more of a fix than an upgrade....it just works that much better than the OEM flawed configuration in sooo many aspects of your driving

Enjoy it....appreciate you sharing your thoughts with the community

It's my pleasure. When you deliver what's promised I have no problem supporting. Just wish I would have done it sooner with the weather the way it is now. Couldn't really give it a good go. When I said it got swirly I wasn't even full throttle maybe 1/2 way. The response is just that much of an improvement.

OK....wasn't planning on doing this but Im going to offer you Camaro 6 members a Xmas sale thru Sunday night 12/28

$400 shipped (add tax if you live in CA) with one caveat. I would like you to share your thoughts about the product and its performance on this board. You can start your own thread or piggyback off an existing one....either works for me. Sharing your results via any other social media (FB, IG etc.) is obviously really appreciated as well.

Trying to get the word out.....best way to do that is get more of these installed on your vehicles

Cheers,
Tony

PS.....You will need to EMAIL ME DIRECTLY to get the discount. My website will still show my regular pricing. Email me and I will send you a paylink with the discounted price. Just mention you saw this post on the forum!

My email is Tony@mamomotorsports.com

Dang I didn’t see this discount and paid pull price for mine Black Friday. I added the mamo throttle body and green filter on my lt4. Haven’t put a ton of miles on it but it’s for sure more responsive. No more lag and feels way more sharp/crisp. Can’t wait to take it to the track to see if I can get a better launch out of it now with more control over the throttle.

Another happy customer here. Got mine installed this weekend and took it for a little drive and it was worth every penny. Throttle response is so much better. So much so that I removed my Soler Performance throttle control I used to get rid of the lag before. Would highly recommend this and like most have said just wish I would have done it sooner.

Been following these threads for a while now and was intrigued. It appears that there is only upside with this mod. I spoke with Tony today and he answered my questions (oh, and he's a nice guy who is passionate about cars, my kind of guy):

Q: Can I get it without the engraved throttle plate?
A: Yes, but it's special order...you just set it up with him. My concern is warranty repairs, so I want to go stealth.

Q: Will it decrease fuel economy? I suspect not, but because this is my DD it was worth asking the question...Hell, I intentionally pay more for Sunoco 94, so this isn't a major concern.
A: No, well maybe a little after you first install it due to feeling it out, but fuel mileage won't change if you drive it the way you always do.

Q: Are the throttle plate to throttle shaft screws staked (like a Holley carburetor)?
N: No, they are red loc-tited.

Q: How does the factory secure the throttle plate to throttle shaft screws?
A: Red loc-tite.

Okay, sold! I'm going to order one of these. Thank you for your time today Tony.

I've had the Mamo tb for a month and am very happy with it, worth every penny. My Camaro was already tuned by "dee ab lew" [spelling it out like this so the bot nannie doesn't redact the name like it's done before]. The throttle lag was completely tuned out by increasing the throttle boost in the tune, along with the cylinder deactivation-deactivated for good! However and previously, my Gen 5 M6 and Gen 6 M6 both had throttle lag that could not be tuned out like it was in the A8. I am wondering if the tb would have changed that? Dam throttle lag almost got me hit once on the Gen 5.

Some things I noticed [or imagined] after the tb, the idle feels different and sounds a little different. Kind of like a low pulsing growl. Also feels like a little horsepower boost and yes I do even feel it in the driveway, as some have stated. When I'm driving hard the transmission seems to downshift noticeably better as well. I ordered it on a Sunday, got an email reply the same day and was shipped out the next day. And sent UPS as I requested instead of USPS which sucks in my area- at no extra charge. Thanks Tony!

Well I got to drive her last weekend, go to 55 above, and I could not stand it any longer. I have not installed mine yet, as I wanted to feel a " change ". I guess my butt dyno needs new calibration as I am not really feeling some of the lag you guys describe. Yup, I know I'm old:( If someone would please try to describe what they were feeling before they installed the TB, come next drive I might be able to know what and when to feel the lag. Thanks in advance.

From a stop light at idle, its running normal like it always does. The light turns green, your going to lightly press the gas to leave the line. You will feel your shoe contact the pedal. Then you will feel the pressure of the pedal pressing against your shoe. Then there will be a slightly delayed feeling off your engine rpms coming up after the comand from your foot is sent. You will hear the engine coming to life a little before you feel it.

After with the same scenario, the light turns green, you lightly press the pedal to leave the line, you will barely even feel the pedal and your car will already be coming alive and leaving the line. So basically all those steps you could feel happening will be so blended together and smooth that you cant feel them happening.
