I am really happy with mine. I have a 1300W CT Sounds 10" sub powered by a Down4Sound MM1000 (1000W) amp, and it is the perfect amount of bass for me. (That might sounds like the sub is underpowered, but the MM1000 is putting out a lot more power than rated - as many of them do - anyway.)

Just to make sure, you know that you need a wiring harness adapter (saves a TON of wire splicing) and a Line Out Converter, correct? After that, you can add your amp and sub. Check out my build thread in my signature below. (If you go through my thread, make sure to read all the way through, I've made several updates.)

While the discussion is old, it's a fun topic. There are five primary options for adding subwoofers in our cars.

1. Wood box in trunk. This is old school, has mixed results.
Pros: easily removable, able to vary in size and shape, can be a little or a lot. Can buy a custom-look versions premade. Can fit any budget.
Cons: loss of trunk space, usually not aesthetic (unless custom built), heavy, doesn't look OEM. usually causes trunk rattle/buzz.

2. Custom-fit in driver's rear corner (JL Audio Stealthbox or similar).
Pros: saves trunk space, looks professional/OEM, great acoustic corner loading.
Cons: expensive, requires cutting side panel.

3. Rear Deck. Where the Bose OEM 6x9 woofers are.
Pros: Uses OEM locations
Cons: limited output capability, easy to make rear deck plastic and metal vibrate/buzz/rattle without extensive treatment.

4. Behind rear seat. This is what i'm doing as Trunk Baffle (no box).
Pros: if Trunk Baffle/IB you save the weight and space of a box. Can sound good if sealed off properly.
Cons: requires you seal off trunk from cabin, sounds best with rear seat folded down which can be a hassle, requires custom fabrication or premade solution.

5. Infinite Baffle.
Pros: The best sound quality you'll get.
Cons: Requires cutting a large hole and moving things out of the way, requires extensive acoustical treatments, considered an extreme solution, limited options for subwoofer drivers (and they are not cheap).
