spoiler mounting points holding water

anybody else have the rear spoiler mounting points hold water after washing?
noticed after last washing kept having small water drips, so i left the trunk lid up for a few minutes to drain it out. think it may have frozen under there through the night after washing it and then been thawing and dripping.
think i will start putting some painters tape around those mounting points when washing next time and avoiding spraying a lot there.
just was curious if others had this happen also.
otherwise it seems pretty easy to wash and dry.

Yep, my right stanchion is the worst, I usually hit it really good with a leaf blower...

that is a good idea! i do use a leaf blower to dry most of the water off, will hit that area more, thanks.
and yeah it is mostly the side stanchions, not the center one.

On my convertible, the shark fin antenna on the trunk is the biggest culprit. Even after hitting it thoroughly with a leaf blower, it will still drip. I leave the trunk open for as long as I can to drain any residual water. I usually try to wash it in the late afternoon when I know I'm not going anywhere afterward so I can leave the trunk open over night.

I purchased new gaskets for the stanchions because I too was getting wet drips in the trunk. WIth all the electronics in the trunk I wasn't going to take chances. You may want to look into the same thing. The spoiler is not hard to remove. I added a little extra adhesive splooge as a safety measure.
