Catch Can for Road Course?

What catch cans are the road course guys using? Any opinions on the elite engineering e2-x ultra?

I dont have an Elite can so I cant comment on how they are. I do have a Mighty Mouse.

if you have a ZL1 or boosted car, with want to have a recirculating top and not vented. If you do vented, you run the risk of the can getting full of oil and spraying out the filter...ask me how I know

I have the Improved Racing one. Super easy to empty. It mounts to the thermostat housing bolts. Unless you already have the long version of the bolts, you have to change to the long bolts, which they provide. This makes coolant leak so replaced the thermostat at the same time (only use OEM thermostat!).

They do not have one for the ZL1, but it's probably worth inquiring to them about it.

I have their LT1 version.

Cool

The Improved racing unit shown using the longer bolts to the Thermostat housing is for their LT1 kit, not an LT4.

I needed the larger volume of their 0.5L CCR and the full recirculating with -10AN drainback feature. I have now created a mounting bracket for the Improved Racing CCR that can be adapted to other designs, I just do not like them. I bought both the MM and the Elite to try out to see which one worked best, which might be great for drag racing but not well received for road racing. I ended up sticking with the two Evil Energy ones for their cheap $30ea Amazon price.

The Improved design with the drain to the OEM LT4 crankcase will be completed in a few weeks as I have other obligations to wrap up at the moment. See the photos below and LMK if anyone wants a bracket to mount theirs.
