Update: My RPM Rollbars 6-point roll cage showed up today! WOW! is this thing crazy light weight and man does that RED look awesome!

Good question! I did it because I don't want this to be an an all out build for only a race car, and wanted as much protection as possible with out a full cage. The 6-point benefits to me were better interior accessibility, swing open door bars, weighs less than an 8-point and but still provides excellent rollover protection for track days. The 6-point cage I felt was not trading off any benefits I needed and was a balance between safety and usability, whereas an 8-point adds forward "kickers", 10 point adds dash, front roof bar and 2 additional mounts to frame in the far rear. I felt anything more than a 6-point was "too" much structure in the car and I still want this a driver and a tracker.

That's obvious with the 4 different stair step builds I've done. And it wasn't until the 4th build that I went "ALL IN". I also bought a set of Weld beadlocks and matching fronts last spring when I knew they were not really the style I really wanted. So, I bought all new Weld beadlocks rears and matching fronts a few months ago. At times I feel like I can't get out of my own way. But, I really do think there's nothing more to do at this point except drive and enjoy !

Update: A small update, but a good one! Today, the ZL1 went to the Dyno for the 2nd time. It was there yesterday for a brief moment. But, they had issues reading my AFR sensor in HP Tuners. But, today was the DAY! They said everything went great, they had the car on the Dyno for around 4 hours, probably some heat soak settled in etc. But, all went great !
They said it was really strong, and it gripped great on the Dyno rollers with the MT ET Street R's! The first numbers with hardly any adjustments was 986 rwhp and 827.7 rwtq (so new base line I guess). I didn't get the boot number. They continued tuning, but decided to call it and they are ordering a new pulley and going to do another dyno day. So, the next Dyno day and probably the final one before I pick up the car will get videoed and I will share that and the Dyno graph afterwards! I'm getting the feeling that another 1000+ ZL1 is in the near future !

NICE!! Congrats. That sounds amazing- I'm looking forward to hearing that beautiful bumpstick in my car soon.
I think you'll see 1020-1040 (or a little more), based on another car they did that has very similar mods.

Update: Just a misc. info note. Last time my previous setup went to the dyno with the factory X-Ported blower, it hit 19psi, with a 2.30" upper/9.45" lower. The new setup with Maggie (but also CAM / heads) hit 19psi with a 3.5" upper/10.32 lower. This week when they replace the upper with a 3.25" and go back to the Dyno, I will post that boost number also. It might be usable info for someone!

Update: The front Weld Vitesse's 18"x6" showed up today, and they look really good. Mounted are the MT Sportsman S/R's 18"x6"

UPDATE !!!! Final Tune/Dyno !!!! The final results are in !!!! Ended up at 1006rwhp and 849rwtq and slight over 20psi boost. I'm very happy with that ! My goal was 4 digit rwhp and that's what I have! Now I get to bring my baby home !
