6 Year Birthday!
I can't believe that yesterday (Jan 17, 2026) was 6 years since delivery of my special ordered 2020 Camaro 2SS (ordered Nov 8, 2019)! It is absolutely insane how fast time is going!!!
The first picture of my car with 3 miles on it (crappy picture but I was exhausted from spending the day up in Long Beach configuring the bosses new $60M Gulfstream G600)...  This picture was the night I finally got it home, my dog was so happy to see the "Hot Rod" he wanted a picture with it... The very next day the "transformation" started... A LOT of "small steps" that made a big difference... Here are some of the "Upgrades"... Battleship gray rotor hats, Really??? Fixed that! Ugly Orange and Red markers... Fixed!!! Why is there no "SS" on the dash??? Fixed! Plain painted gas door??? No more! Smoked tail lights but red reflectors??? Yeah, no... A wee bit of PPF to prevent rock chips... (has worked EXTREMELY WELL!!!) Some Engine Dress up was definitely needed... GM Performance Cold Air Intake, GM Performance Black Strut Tower Brace (because it looks really good) and Dead Brand Designs Fuse Box Plaque because it totally completes the otherwise boring engine compartment... There might be a Mishimoto Catch Can in there as well that looks pretty OEM... FINALLY got some SS 1LE Wheels on there (although they are MRR 017 SS 1LE Replicas, they are very high quality and balanced really well)... I wanted these wheels from day 1... I special ordered my car but could not select these wheels without the 1LE package in 2020 and the only way to get that was to get the M6 transmission and while I don't mind a manual, this was originally intended to be my daily driver and the thought of an M6 in LA traffic was not fun... Oh yeah, and some 'Merica Flags on the rear quarter panel windows... Cuz well, 'Merica!!!  Probably the most current shot I have...  I tried to keep all of my modifications/upgrades as tasteful as could be and more of what I thought GM "should" have done vs. what they left off... It has been a really fun ride, I love looking at my car, I don't drive it nearly enough but I get great pride and joy just hanging out in the garage detailing it... Never in a million years did I think I would be able to have something like this so the very fact that I do makes me insanely grateful and appreciative of that fact... I just want to "keep it nice"... I obviously didn't include every single upgrade on here but my signature is pretty inclusive... My most recent upgrades are the Mamo V3 Ported Throttle Body (bottom picture) and yesterday, for it's 6th "Birthday", a brand new OEM Battery (since the original battery wasn't on a tender for the first 4+ years!)...

 Looks good and hope she's flawless for many more years to come!!  I know what you mean about time flying...my "4 year" of getting mine in 2022 is in September. Definitely goes fast!

I know I've seen the "SS" on the dash on older models... but I can't recall which generations had them factory...

We picked up our cars on the same day and dealer remember. I got same birthday. Have 6500 miles now. Love this car, 6sp manual beast. Just turned 66 myself, and want more power. That is the only regret was should of got the ZL but was turned off by the BS gas guzzler tax. Would like to look into building it for more HP after year 8 warranty up. Have to see what can be done here in commiefornia legally.
