You can stop thinking cause we're not...

The engine we need will be in the portfolio it appears. But the business case thus far is not. I think they (GM) will have to get creative to get the suits to green light a project. We look at this from an enthusiast perspective (emotion), the GM boardroom is looking for profit/volume (logic). It's just the reality.

And remember the strange comments from Reuss "I think that formula of beauty – and a little bit of functionality and fun – all of that is important. If we were getting back into Camaro, that piece of it is really important”

So what is he saying there? It needs to be more functional than a 2 door coupe to appeal to more folks, at worst a CUV and at best a hatchback. I think he's saying we can't release a low volume toy that'll serve as a 2nd/3rd car.

I don't know what to expect except a Gen7 Camaro is probably not a priority.

Maybe get Buick on board with a new Skylark or something

If you use enough parts across the two vehicles the $$ might work out.

Or GNX

A few of the Cadillac cars could have been marketed as performance buicks

To be fair having the Camaro become a hatchback would not be a terrible thing cause it can still be a coupe and will probably add that practicality that they are looking for with more storage space and easier accessing that storage space. Hatchback doesn't always mean CUV and if done right can still look like it should.

I'm hoping for maybe a 4dr Impala (SS w/this 6.7) built alongside the CT5 at LGR. Not much is going on in that plant nowadays. Maybe that opens the door, if successful, for more Alpha platform products like a Camaro and more volume at LGR.

A hatchback coupe like the 3rd and 4th gen would be ideal. I hate the 6th gen impracticalities when I am packing for a track day. I want to put a bigger cooler in it!!!

Plus the 3rd gen is one of my all time favorite car designs.

We already know there will be a Chevy 4 door sedan with a v8 built there, we just don't know what it will be called yet.
