[2018 Blue 1LE]

I eneded up puncturing the driver's side auxiliary radiator and will need to replace it.
I got it off through the wheel well, not easy or fun!!!
Saw a video a video afterwards that shows taking off the bumper, and underneath pans.


Questions now are
1) should I just put in the one and use OEM or should I replace both with the Mishimoto?


2) Are the Mishimoto hoses worth the hype?
I notice they supply worm drive hose clamps and have read more negative than positive about that type of clamp.


I don't do any track/racing, just some spirited weekend driving.
At some point I might do some track driving.


Any input appreciated.

If the oem parts were fine before you attacked them. You will be fine running new ones that are less damaged.
But if aftermarket ones provide other benefits for the same price. Like better cooling without sacrificing reliability. Then its up to you to decide if it's worth it. The way i look at it is, if i can get away from plastic tanks then i will, because reliability is usually better with all metal on the radiator.

The Mishi hoses are not needed. OE hoses last forever nowadays. Maybe the Mishi coolers are more robust than the OE ones, so that might be a plus. Definitely vacuum bleed your system. Myself and a few friends have had air pockets in these complex systems after getting into them. A regular passive fill was not enough and it ended up ruining our track days.

I agree, if your temps were fine before, I would just replace with OEM. The ZL1's benefit from THESE CSF versions when upgrading to the larger fittings and hoses, but I don't think they would be worth much on a stock LT1.
