site loading issues, just me?
It seems like more times than not this site will not load on desktop or mobile device.
All last weekend it would not load, thought the site was gone. I don't have issues with other sites loading when this happens. Is there a setting on my end or is this just normal?

I have observed inconsistent performance of the site over the last year or so. It's become more laden with advertise, which I suspect doesn't help, but I couldn't tell you exactly what the root cause may be. I'm grateful it's still here, up and running!

I'm getting the same thing.
I wonder if they have been getting ddos attacked but haven't said anything. Several other forums I visit have been getting ddos'ed lately. |

Yeah I've had that same issue over the past year or so, just one of those deals. One day it loads and runs just fine for a few days, then later it might not even load, or when it does, it's as slow as frozen molasses between pages and posts, log off for a few days, get back on and it's fine again. I've learned to expect it now sometimes.

I will throw it out there again, until this post I have been unable to access this site since before 12/24/25.
I tried 4 different search engines, ad blocker on/off, 2 mobile devices, a laptop and all just spin until a message of "timed out". |

Have not been able to get in until now.
I have done some other experiments and it seems it has something to do with my home internet, Starlink. I can get in on my phone using its internet, but with WiFi I cannot. Just FYI. Not computer savvy enough to know why or how to start looking. I have tried shutting off all ad blockers and similar things, but no difference. Posted this, switched to another area and got timed out. Had to use phone to add this. Last edited by 2018 Blue 1LE; 01-03-2026 at 10:04 PM. |
