comfty seats option?

I trade my Adraoline red 2ss seats for the ZL1 seats... as getting older, i realize they are too firm for daily and get a bit uncomfortable for long-distance traveling.

just wondering if anyone has upgraded their seats to something more comfortable or more daily friendly?

I would almost bet that the ATS-V seats would bolt in and use the same plug

What’s the worse is the Zl1 seats don’t lay down as low as the 2ss seats, I don’t wanna remove the seats to drill the holes for that modification

My wife complains about the seat all the time lol

we have the base SS cloth seats, they are plain & have no color
I wanted some ZL1 seats due to the red stitching.

do we think the ZL1 seats are stiffer than the 1SS cloth seats?
we rode ~14 hours in ours to get it home, we did not notice the seats were horrible.

we did note the seat-back will not recline due to the convertible bulges in the rear seat, do the hard top seats also not recline? I say a post about removing the stop that prevents reclining?

Yeah you would need to drill out that welded pin… it’s gonna be a mess

ZL1 seats are completely different than the SS seats, it’s like hugging you and holding your body straight at turns… however it’s too firm for long distance travel

The Recaro seats in the SS 1LE and the ZL1 have bigger and stiffer lower and upper side bolsters, which makes them uncomfortable for people with hips wider than what the bolsters were designed for. In terms of seat foam hardness, I didn't notice much difference in ZL1 seats and the faux leather seats in my 2SS, I think it's mostly the side bolsters that people complain about.

The coupe also has those seat recline stops, presumably for safety reasons (if you crash or get rear ended while the seat is reclined beyond what the stops allow, seatbelts may not be effective). With the stops drilled out, the seats will fully recline, ie they will sit on top of the rear seats in the coupe. Not sure how far they can go in the convertible, but the bottleneck will no longer be the recline mechanism.

Mine is a 1SS. I replaced the seat covers with new leather take offs out of a vert. The foam, frame and seats are the same under the covers. Only difference would be the heat and cooling options and the memory function. Otherwise they sit and feel the same. Not talking about ZL1 seats.

Find someone that wants to trade their 2SS seats for your ZL1 seats.
