Buying a 2019 ZL1 1LE M6 — How am I doing on this deal?

What’s up everyone,

I’m finalizing a deal on a 2019 ZL1 1LE, M6, ~30k miles, and just wanted to get some perspective from people who actually know these cars.

Deal details:
• Listed at $65k
• Negotiated down to $56k before tax/fees
• About $60k out the door
• Clean Carfax, stock, good service history

I know prices aren’t what they were a couple years ago, and with the car being out of production, I don’t expect “steals” anymore — just trying to gauge whether this is solid, fair, or if I left money on the table.

From what I’ve been seeing, clean M6 1LEs with reasonable miles are holding pretty firm, but curious where current owners feel the market realistically sits right now.

Any feedback is appreciated — especially from those who’ve bought or sold recently.

Thanks in advance 🍻

56k seems like a good deal for the mileage as long as it's clean and looks to be well cared for looking at it in person.

Wow they came down a bunch. Sounds like a good deal. Last March when I bought my 2021 they wouldnt come off $67 (11K miles) and supposedly had many inquiries which I believe because I tried to buy 3 others before this one and they all sold right away.

Good deal

Since this car was actually driven some, make sure you check everything before purchase as usual, look for signs of drivetrain abuse. I'd change all fluids (oil, e-diff, trans), or at least have solid proof of very recent fluid changes, just to be on the safe side.

I would say that it’s a good deal too! Go for it.

The value of these cars is very mileage dependent. While 30k doesn't sound like a lot for a typical 2019 vehicle, it is a good amount for a ZL1 for most buyers. There's quite a swing in value from a 10K mileage ZL1 and a 30K mileage ZL1. That being said, I think the value of mileage is overrated and these cars are pretty reliable and 30k miles isn't bad at all. Biggest issue with the 1LE is that the DSSV struts are known to go bad prematurely, some as early as 10K miles when driven on the street regularly.

Honestly there were never any steals except maybe when COVID initially hit. The ZLE has been pretty darn solid. If anything, I’d say the current market, as in right now is the softest I’ve seen it for all Camaro’s. A couple of weeks from now Mecum has one I believe and then Barrett Jackson at the end of the month should be a good general barometer of the market. I think dealers are having a rough time right now.
56k sounds very reasonable, of course condition plays a big role in the price. Everyone has different goals and different levels of expectations. Good luck.

Looks like a very good deal compared to what ZLE's are selling for in Canada.
Ridiculous prices.

That's a good deal for sure. I have a thread on here recently where my ZL1 was stolen and I finally got the payout for my car. My car was a 2019 ZL1 A10 with the rare carbon package, PDR, no sunroof. It is true that a good number of people prefer the A10 as much as the manual, It's faster and quicker on street, and the A10 was a 1,500 option at the time. I only mention this because some prefer the A10 and are willing to pay more, others would pay more for the manual. It's also kind of a mixed bag as some also prefer the better ride quality in the non-1LE version because you can't adjust the ride modes like in ZL1 base and lose the mag-ride suspension in favor of DSSV for the 1LE. So as an example I received 80k for mine, - 500 deductible. 30k miles for your car is still on the low side. So if all else is good, pretty good deal in my eyes. Hopefully you test drove it enough and drive it on less than perfect roads too. Best luck to you -
