Overall, I think it's a good looking truck.
Design wise I'm not really a fan. The front end looks weird, and the interior dash area styling looks like it's trying to be a different brand. Doesn't really look "chevy" to me. To each his own though. I own a 2016 colorado, and I absolutely love it.

I have a 2020 ZR2 and love it. I do like the new style but not ready to trade. I've put over 60k miles driving all over the East Coast, on the beach, in the fields hunting... zero issues.

Im pretty impressed with the 2.7 power numbers. Its probably the only new vehicle i would want to buy.
Looks like this generation is the first one that is truly an American vehicle, not a rebadged Isuzu like the first gen or rebadged Korean monstrosity like the second generation. Last edited by bishopts; 12-30-2025 at 09:06 AM. |

I have a 2019 and love it.....I have a V6. although I personally I wouldn't get a new one, I just don't believe a non-turbo'ed 4 cylinder will/can last in a truck this size.....and seeing as I got mine with the intention of keeping it for many years, a V6 was a must. I did a lot a research before I got mine...as I once had a small truck before....actually got on a Colorado forum too.....if you look at a "FULL SIZE" 1/2 TON p/u from about 1974-1982, the trucks themselves were within an inch or two in size and weight of the current Colorado....plus they were powered by 350's......can't believe they did away with the V6 as an option.

yes there are....I am just to old school.....and won't relay on a 4-cylinder turbo for the long haul in a truck....just not going to do it.

I looked at a 2026 back in October exactly like that. Same trim and color. To me it's best looking pickup I'd ever seen.
The $42k price tag and 4-cylinder combo didn't work out for me but I won't lie, I feel envy every time I see one on the road. It was more of a financial decision than anything. Had to fix the orientation for ya because it looks great. |
