Fun to give this stuff a thought!

My 2 cents: diesel is specifically formulated to ignite under compression with no spark. In other words, preignition lol. That’s got bad times written all over it in a gasoline high compression engine.

This guy has the wrong idea on how it works.

This is a fuel sample i pulled from a car this morning. The top separation is gas. The rest is water

most diesel systems are in the thousands for PSI, google says 4000 to crank, 30,000 psi max effort

https://www.google.com/search?q=what...+into+cylinder

diesel FEELS oily, but they have taken out all the Sulphur in recent years, so it is LESS lubricant than it used to be

Diesel fuel is not flammable like gasoline, but it can be used to burn wood or put out a flame

A diesel regen cycle (regeneration) burns soot in the DPF by dramatically heating exhaust gases, typically to 1000°F to 1200°F (600°C to 650°C), sometimes reaching up to 1500°F

Atomization is about 500 psi and the compression ratio is about 3 times that of gas direct injection. The question would be if you get the pressure up 1/3 of its needed pressure to ignite, then inject gas and set that on fire. Would the diesel go ahead and burn with the gas. Its a test that no one has ever really tried so it's hard to say what will happen.

If you replace gas with diesel it wont burn.
If you mix gas and diesel to maybe 90:1 the gas will burn off of the diesel.
If you did that test under pressure who knows?

Even with a conclusive test. Would you want the diesel to burn off to reduce cat failures and waste or would you want it to not burn like how water does so it wont confuse the o2 sensor readings?
