HP Tuners problem.

Hello,
I'm having a problem connecting HP Tuners.
If you know what the problem is, thank you in advance for your help!
I connect using another tool (Autel box).
Problem solved

Can you try HPT's own MPVI interface instead? I don't think they ever intended customers to use their software with 3rd party hardware, nor is it likely that they tested these scenarios.

I'm not trying to connect VCM Suite to another device; I have software, like Autel, that I know how to connect to.

However, I do know how to perform an analysis with VCM Editor.

the tool I'm connecting to!

On my PC, I know how to open a website.

When I open HP Tuners, it tells me the battery is low, even though my PC is fully charged and my car engine is running.

I know how to open VCM Scanner and save the file, but I don't know how to use VCM Editor.

I always ran HP Tuners with key-on/engine-off, and had a charger on the battery. Maybe it doesn't like that you are running?

I tried it with the engine off, it's the same thing.

Your computer needs to be connected to the internet while you are trying to read the file. If you’ve got that and it’s still not reading, you may need to resync the dongle or open a ticket with HPT.

If the software is telling you the battery is low, you should probably put the battery on a charger overnight and then try again.

Make sure the car is on and the engine is off. I don’t think it’ll pull it while the car is running.

Do you mean the resynchronization interface shown in the attachment?

The battery is normal.

I feel like your creating your own problem by not using HP Tuners tool to connect to HP Tuners software.

Its similar to trying to figure out why you can't access iTunes on your Samsung phone.

Autel does have the ability to interface with the car and the computer. Its data link connector does work with gm programming software but that doesn't mean it works with everything.

I'm reading his statement as he can connect with his Autel with no issues but not the HPT.

Yes. If it's still not able to read, I'd open a ticket with HPT.

OP is not new here, he asked many a question in the past and clearly has problems articulating them in clear English and following suggestions.

OP, this might sound harsh, but what you wrote doesn't make sense; please 1) describe what you want to achieve and with what pieces of hardware and software, 2) tell us what you have tried, 3) provide your analysis based on the information you already have, and 4) respond to folks who already tried to help you.

Before anyone calls me out, I was born in Europe, just like OP, and English is my second language (or third, depending on how we look at it), so this isn't about bashing him for his command of the language.

It's simply rude to waste helpful people's time in this day and age when everyone has access to near perfect translation tools, and disrespectful not to listen and respond to reasonable questions or suggestions.

J2535 is a generic pass through device.
Mpvi is a proprietary pass through device specifically designed for HP Tuners proprietary software

Can connect doesn't mean can operate normally.

Software needs to work with hardware. Just because you can put your butt in a spaceship doesn't mean you can fly it to the moon
