Might be worth the switch then if that's the case.

Hey Tony, is there a way I could tell your v1 from your v2? I bought mine used through the forum and I am just curious. Whichever version it is I noticed an immediate difference and it is the first thing I recommend people upgrade on the gm platform.

100%....its the first mod (aka FIX) everyone with an LT engine should invest in. Biggest bang for the buck hands down.

Regarding identifying what you have....its fairly easy. The V1 still has a perfectly round throttle shaft.

The V2 is a machined throttle shaft (the front face of the shaft will look flat when the TB is in the close rest position) which opens the available cross sectional area in the TB allowing it to flow more air.

Look at the pics I have posted compared to what you have.....its easy to track what Im talking about.

The V1's still gave a huge improvement in all part throttle conditions and a gain in peak power also but the thinner machined shaft flows more air at 85 - 100% throttle adding even more to the gains seen at WOT with the porting and the unmilled shaft.

If it turns out you have a V1 buy the V3 for sure.....you will make more top end power from the swap!

Cheers,
Tony

Late to the Black Friday party but if anyone is interested $400 shipped until the close of the weekend (12 midnight on the 7th of December!)

30 day money back still stands as well 😁

Cheers,
Tony

Do you offer a LT5 v3 for those who use this stock TB?

Before my car was stolen. (See the recent Alert post on this forum - worth reading to protect your cars). I had V2 TB and I loved it. It was exactly stated by Tony and was well worth the money installed with the Roto-Fab as no tune was needed and easily done by a novice. I recall throttle dip in was more sensitive, better response, and louder engine sounds. I can't confirm actual power numbers but with the Roto-Fab and the TB, car felt quicker to me. Could definitely, without a doubt hear the super charger more.

I offer a ported LT5 but its hand finished and does not have the shaft milled down. That last option is not nearly needed as much with a larger TB (All or most 102 - 103 TB's don't have milled shafts for that reason).

While still being hand ported, it looks and works real nice

Here is a link to the product on my site with a photo

Hope this helps!

Thank you, so for the LT5 you will stay in v2 instead that going in the future for the v3, isn't it?

For now....yes that's true.

The volume isn't there with the LT5 TB's to justify creating the CNC program. Its an enormous amount of time from start to finish....we invested months dialing in the LT1/LT4 TB's on the CNC machines but I sell a dozen or so of those a month so the payback in time is much faster.

Other irons in the fire here take higher priority but at some point I will probably do a V3 version of the LT5 in the future and will advertise that fact as soon as the program is perfected and complete.
