I'd buy an ev camaro if it looked like either a 6th gen or late 3rd gen camaro. Put an e-crate in the existing body and a solid state lithium that does 200 miles (to further keep weight down) and i'd be perfectly fine with that.
Bonus if i could mind control them into producing new fbodies, is that it would be compatible with all of the existing aftermarket stuff. I do not care about the exhaust noise if every light i feel like, it squishes me into the seat like i have a 11 second car also, there's the bonus of being able to refill on solar when society collapses and gas refineries go dark. Well, i guess at least till i run out of tires...which probably wouldn't be long if i'm lead footing it everywhere. Anyways, an ev real camaro, would be fun. An ev suv with the name camaro, would be stupid. |

You missed the fact that the Gen6 Camaro was the biggest cater to Camaro owners maybe ever. GM did not design that car with broad appeal, it was designed for Camaro owners. The problem is there just weren’t enough Camaro owners that wanted another Camaro to make it viable. When developing the car, they didn’t go ask Mustang owners what it would take to get them to buy a Camaro, they went to Camaro owners and fans and asked them. What we got was the best Camaro ever……….that didn’t sell very well.
