Been a minute, or almost 2 months.

About ready to mount the filter and flex sensor. I made a template- next step is to cut it out of a piece of 16-ga steel and give it a coat of satin black paint.

Small progress update. Finally cut out the bracket. Here is a mock up with everything in place. Just needs a couple holes drilled to mount to the frame rail and a shot of black paint! I cannot believe it has been another month since I last made progress.

Haha, there's something magical about a four-digit horsepower figure.

Hard to imagine much more than the power my Camaro has (735 rwhp, should be ~840-850 wheel hp) to be usable at all under normal street circumstances, that is, normal weather, pavement and tires, not some funky drag radials.

I mean, I can't even floor it and get the tires to hook from below 35-40 mph, maybe 30 mph if stars align---now if I had 150-200 more wheel hp, all that would do is raise the minimum speed where I can floor it and get traction, further reducing street usability, and the sensation of the torque hit (forward acceleration g-force) wouldn't be much different.

BUT all this is speculation and rationale while 1000+ hp is beckoning to everyone here, I know, including myself, I just resist it

Personally, I really want to be solidly in the 9s with the M6. I think (hope) 1000 to 1050 at the wheels will do it.

Fair enough. What I'm saying is outside the drag strip and maybe the road course this much hp in a rear wheel drive car does little more than reducing the usable range of the go pedal
