Color matched ZL1 brake upgrade on SS

My 2023 2SS came with the red Brembo brake upgrade. I sold them for $1,000 and installed new leftover ZL1 brakes that I painted rapid blue.
Will bleed the brakes tomorrow then put the ZL1 wheels back on.

Before & after picks.

I'm curious what paint you used? I checked out G2 and they say they can match the yellow on my car. The match for your blue is good.

All back together. Very happy with the results. Next is a full detail, paint correction, add rally strips then ceramic coat.

I ordered a pint of rapid blue base & clear. Used high temp primer, sprayed the base color, added decal then sprayed 2K clear. I have 80K miles on a set of Brembos I did awhile back and still look like new.

Thanks for the info. So paint other than primer is not hi-temp? The brakes are not likely to see the temperatures reached in a competition environment? Not likely mine will either.

One concern with doing mine is the red was ceramic coated. I guess a good cleaning and sanding of the surface, assuming I can reach them all, should take care of that.

Correct, only primer was hi temp. A good cleaning & sanding will remove the ceramic coating.
