Cool

Sorry everyone... For months I have had issues with this website loading and no matter what device I am on, or which Wifi I am using it would not load. I have messaged Tran on this many times and tried to share the IP trace with him.

Gabe, sent me a text and said there were a few people interested. I have asked everyone interested to send me an email and for those of you who have, thanks! I have included you in the list that I have been updating AWE Engineers with.

Right now I am working with the transmission company in PA as well as AWE... and trying to finish up with other parts that I have been prototyping during private track days.

The exhaust system will be happening, I just have been pushing multiple buttons at this time and the exhaust is just one.

Just one more thing I am working on...

I didn’t’ see an email address you want us to email you at if we’re interested. Also will the stock valve actuators work with this system ie: will they plug directly into the valves on the new exhaust or will we have to modify something?

The stock NPP actuators will not work as they are not strong enough to move the 3" high-flow valves and will use the Cadillac spring-loaded design.

Thanks to all of you who have emailed me and allowed me to share your wish for a better exhaust sound alternative to just BEING LOUD!!!

Would it be possible to run this system with valves closed at full throttle?
(to keep exhaust sound down for those limited db track days)

Looks like it would not flow very well with closed valves

You wouldn't want to run any exhaust on these cars with the valves fully closed. The OEM tuning opens them at WOT.

The tuning as we all know opens them at WOT but these stronger valves and controllers can be partially closed and operated. I also selected a crossflow muffler like this because it has the flow to be operated at WOT with the valves fully closed... it surely cannot be any worse than the tiny OEM NPP muffler exits.

Awesome news! I’ve been hoping AWE would come out with an NPP-compatible setup. I’ve always liked the deep, clean tone of their resonated Touring system, but really wanted to keep the valve function.

Quick question, will this system include the stronger 3" actuators you mentioned, or do those need to be purchased separately? If so, any idea on cost and whether the Camaro connector is plug-and-play?

Also, is this setup just an axle-back for now, or will AWE offer a matching 3" X-pipe to go with it?

And if you have any outside clips, maybe idle, valves open/closed, and a few drive-bys, that would be awesome to hear!

That would be amazing, if the valves are fully controllable and if the "closed path" flows good enough to support Full Throttle on a close to stock LT4.
Game changer for running track days with low dezibel limits!
Already sent you an email. I want one

Great questions!

Once this system becomes a GO, the axle-back will incorporate a mid-pipe option so those with the current AWE will be able to swap out with their current leading system for the 6thGen Camaros. If everyone keeps the emails coming, Each week I have bundled them and sent a single one to my contact at AWE, he's an avid boater/fisherman and loves our Kraken... so this helped in even getting all the individual components I selected for my test kit assembled, welded and shipped at quite the cost... it was more than the entire system I have including the ARH headers, so yes, I'm ALL IN!

The sound at idle is actually very quiet no matter if the valves are open or closed due to the exhaust expanding into the crossflow muffler and smoothing the pulses out. Its truly one of the most iconic buttery sounds as the pulses cancel each other out to provide this amazing tone.

As for the Caddy parts... they are. cheap and easily found online because they are still available in production. The Cadillac valves are on all the CTs and Escalades and can be bought for less than $75each.

As for clips, I shot the videos linked here, but have been testing other cars at the track this month, travel to Hendrick Motorsports, VIR and Road Atlanta with private events to sort out a customer's ZLE & Lamborghini Super Trofeo.

When I get the approval for this system, I have to take my ZLE to AWE for the actual fitting and kitting. I am trying to coordinate this with the shop building the 10L90E valve bodies so one trip encompasses both upgrades.

Thanks for the update! Would be awesome for us current AWE guys to be able to but the pieces you mentioned as well! Look forward to your next update.

This sounds awesome, Ive been looking at AWE for an exhaust but refuse to give up the npp valve functions.

Cool

We are scheduled for the MVP Track Weekend at Road Atlanta next Sat & Sunday. If you are nearby, I invite you to come check out the cars we are bringing, hear this incredible sound and share your own videos with everyone here wanting to know how this combo has turned out. For those who qualify, I can offer rides at full speed during the Instructor Sessions, so bring a helmet!
