HP-Tuners: Need help adjusting my shift points without nuking my engine tune...

I notice there are three modules in the vehicle that must be read:

1. E92A ECM – Engine Control Module
2. T87A TCM – Transmission Control Module
3. FSCM – Fuel System Control Module

All three modules read and download but during the completion of the download of the FSCM module, I receive this error:

Size: 46.4 KB

It doesnt happen under the ECM or TCM modules, even if I stop it after each of those particular modules.

I am concerned that if I modify my shift points, I may nuke my FSCM tune, if anything there is tuned. Can anyone confirm?

I am really only wanting to change shift points and not make changes to the FSCM if anything there has even been changed (I'm not sure if it has.)

Also is there anywhere I can get information of the stock shift points for touring, sport and track mode? My tuner basically tuned it so its upshifting way too soon even in sport mode. I am in 3rd gear at 5 mph. I've done tuning on shift points before but it was a more primitive PCM for a 99 Camaro I am new to the additional modules context.

If anyone wants to take a look at the trans tune, the HPT file is here:

You don't have to read the FSCM. Just select Do Not Read.

Does anyone happen to have a stock tune file for a 2017 Camaro SS containing all the shift points? I looked on HP-Tuners repository and they did have a stock SS tune but it did not contain the TCM sections with the shift points.

I agree

I would think shifting would be taking engine load and throttle position into consideration. Not just RPM

Every time you try to read the TCM tune it will give you a stock file for your vehicle.

@bishopts Shift points are based on vehicle speed.

It's both Vehicle Speed AND RPM. Both conditions must be satisfied before commanding the shift. So you set WOT MPH just before the RPM you want to shift at because of the order in which it works.

The ECU uses MPH as a primary point of reference for shifting.
