Nitro Yellow 2SS
You definitely won't see many others. The data base noted is very interesting to explore.
Ironically, there is an owner a few miles from me with another 2SS manual convertible. |

Hey thanks for the info. and comments! Yeah I was shocked when I found it online a couple weeks ago with those miles. I thought I better act now if I wanted to get one. Always wanted a SS but just never got one, a lot of people kept talking about the visibility as usual. But after one day I an getting used to driving it and using my mirrors more to see behind me.
I guess the guy just trailered it everywhere, it was originally delivered to chevy dealer in Minnesota, the guy that owned it is in Ohio, and then he traded this SS in for a yellow ZL1 at a used car dealer in Arkansas, I then had it trailered to Kansas. It has been around lol. The Arkansas dealer told me the guy is a Camaro collector. He still would have lost money on the SS when he traded it though, I will daily drive it. already has around 150 miles on it. I replaced the stock summer tires with Michelin pilot sport 4 all seasons. & have splash guards on order. Has anyone installed the chevy splash guards? just screw them on? |

He must’ve found a ZL1 in Nitro Yellow, otherwise the only other yellow for the 6th gen were 2016-2018.
Here’s the PDF for the OEM splash guard install. Front https://www.chevypartspros.com/docs/...z11dSD5COtEu8E Rear https://www.chevypartspros.com/docs/...JucZzWCabsDuT4

Thanks for the splash guards instructions! Yeah I saw a photo on the dealers FB page showing him with the ZL1 and it looked like a brighter yellow, so he must have gotten an older one. I did not know that on the colors and years available on the bright yellow. Here is another photo I took of mine yesterday, I need to take more photos soon. |

No problem! I think your photo didn't attach properly. Here's a thread with the 6th gen colors by year I made a while back https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=597484

Thanks! my photo is showing up ok on my end. still learning on how to post pics on here.
that is kinda strange how he would trade for an older ZL1, must had been low mileage or something, who knows lol. do you think Camaro SS and ZL1's will hold their value or start appreciating if chevy does not bring it back? hopefully they do bring it back, I would trade for a new gen Camaro if they did. |

When they stopped making them, the prices went up a bit. Since then they were steady then back down a bit. 1LE and ZL1’s seem to keep their value a bit better than everything else. ZL1 for sure keeps it the best though. Doubt they start appreciating though.

Car looks good! Thanks for posting pics. I wasn't even familiar with that colour and apparently its rare.
I think any appreciation for 6th gen Camaros will depend on the future of the pony/muscle car segment. If Mustang sales continue to shrink and the Charger doesn't sell gm won't bring back the Camaro. Then over time you could see a bump in your cars value. gm could also slap the Camaro badge on an EV suv which would suck but rumour has it Chevy will debut a car with a V8 so that could be our next Camaro. Might have four doors though. |

Just checked the KBB trade in and the high range is around 53K for my car and it stickered around 58K . so not too bad of depreciation yet , 2500 per year, as its about 2 years since it was built.
yeah I saw a video last night on a ZL1 panther edition 2024 that sold at mecum for 145K. so those went up a lot. Just going to enjoy driving it though, it is an awesome car so far! have not had a real sports car in quite a while since I had my 94 Z28 and 92 LT1 Vette. that Z28 was fun back in the day. I even have to start my new camaro with the garage door closed now , it is loud on cold starts lol. sounds awesome! |

If you want the splash guards to match the color of your car, you will have to paint them. GM did not make them for the low production of this color. Other colors are still available.
I painted a set for my car. |

Yeah that is what the dealership told me, i just ordered them in black. they should be showing up soon.
on another topic, do any of you guys have an older camaro for a second bad weather car? i was just browsing online and found several gen 5 ZL1 for the 30k or slighter higher range with around 70k miles on them. could also do a gen 5 SS. lots of the gen 4 are just about as expensive as the gen 5 are. gen 4 is starting to look kinda dated, i used to have one in the 90's gen 5 even looks dated on the interior, but would be fine for a second car. just curious, don't know if i have room in the garage lol. always fun to look online though. that would be something for the future and then how expensive insurance is lately, costs a small fortune for car and house insurance haha |

My DD now is a 21 turbo 1LE. A 5th gen ZL1 is more than needed for a DD. My ZL1 broke loose even when I didn't want it to. I used a V6 5th gen for my daily when I had that.

yeah true a ZL1 would be overkill for a bad weather car, saw a 10 2SS with like 29k miles for $24K. there are a lot of SS gen 5 for sale, most are pretty high mileage.
i bet that turbo 1LE you have is fun! isn't that what randy pobst drove? watched a video on that i think. |

My dream winter car is a 4 banger turbo gen 6. Then it would barely feel like I'm putting the car away for the winter.
As of now, it's an old Ford Ranger. Glad you're enjoying the new car! They are awesome driving cars for sure! And yes, those cold starts are pretty darn loud. |
