This morning I was out washing her, Sky was getting cloudy so I was keeping an eye on it, had two wheels left to scrub when it started raining. Finished those and pulled into the garage to dry things off.
The paint on the valve cover beauty covers has been chipping off for a while. I saw that Phastek had a kit with vinyl letters to correct this so I purchased a set. Just got done putting them on, they look great and will hopefully last longer/better than the paint did. |

I know on here it's sacrilegious, but I swapped the stock multimatic suspension for BC coilovers. The stock suspension served me well for 76k miles from the 3 miles when I first got the car.
Car is my daily driver when I don't want to ride the motorcycle and a show car. New tires, Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus 275/35r20 and 315/35r20 |

Put on the toll tag, topped off the coolant, filled the tank, did a 4 great burnout, picked up groceries. Good day. Tomorrow the dealer is installing a new front splitter.

Yea that's with the new coilovers on. I should have measured but, going off where I was before I say probably 2-3" for the front and 2" for the rear. I am running 315/35/20 in the rear which are around a 28.68" diameter. Fronts are 275/35/20 which is about 27.58" according to Discount Tire, where I bought the tires.

Dealer replaced the front splitter as part of the deal so got that done today and then came home and gave it a wash and spray wax. She may not be the prettiest girl at the dance but she’ll still turn a head or two.

Put some sound deadening in the trunk and killed a rattle I was having. Then as I was walking around the outside of the car the doors were rattling. Guess that’s next to tackle.
Also unplugged one of the blinker modules on my aftermarket taillights (came with the car) and the random double blink I was getting disappeared. Guess time will tell if the problem is gone entirely.

Noticed that coolant was low and since I had to remove the cross brace to get to the lower reservoir filler, I decided to install a Mishimoto catch can.
I'm not sure if the cross brace was designed that way, but the shock tower bolts are reused, and they are just long enough to grip a couple of threads, and with the 2mm thick Mishimoto mount plate added to the mix I stripped out the top 2ish threads of the bolt hole. Fortunately, I was able to run a tap in and fix those couple of threads. Got a couple of 5mm longer bolts and it's all good.

What's the specs on the replacement bolts you used? I took one of them to Home Depot and couldn't find a match. Did you have to go to a specialty hardware store? I put the bracket under the tower brace. A little harder to empty but out of the way.
