Replacing primary cats with electric cutouts

Been trying to find information regarding putting a set of cutouts in place of the primary cats while keeping the secondary cats with the rest of my factory npp exhaust. Haven't seen this done yet and was hoping my only option wasn't SE long tubes and modifying their x-pipe for a cutout and aftermarket cats. Plus, I was hoping to keep as much of the factory exhaust in place because my area requires a visual inspection for emissions and to reduce cost. It looks like the factory manifolds have a decent tri-y setup and should flow pretty good and to just dump before the cats would make a neat dual purpose daily/track exhaust setup. What you guys think?

You probably wont find a lot of info here on that. I would think just cut the flanges off the cats as close to the catalyst as you can get. Then bolt those back on, cut and check your fitment and angles and tac weld them. Pull it back off and weld it all up.
