Lightbulb Lines Across Digital Instrument Cluster Panel ZL1

I have a 2018 ZL1 A10 and have been noticing some white lines across my instrument cluster. The lines show in the middle part of the cluster. Thus the digital section.

At first, the lines were thin, but now one of the lines is very thick. I was wondering whether anyone in this community has experienced a similar issue.

If this has to be replaced, would an instrument cluster from a Camaro SS work on my ZL1? I have a friend that will be removing his cluster to replace it with a Holley cluster as he is converting his SS into a drag car.

So, I can buy it from him in due course. But if I know know in advance that it is not compatible, I will order the correct one instead of waiting.

So can it be programmed for the Supercharger Boost gage to show on the right instead of the Battery Voltage like in the SS ? The part number online appear to be compatible ofr the SS and ZL1

you probably just need to have it reprogrammed.

I would say that line of pixles are dying. It could probably be repaired but replacement is more than likely the option you get stuck with

Definitely looks like a dying display.

I don't know if it's just the way the camera is picking it up, but it looks to me like the display has stress cracking going on? The crystals look super uneven in patterns that look like stress points that match your dying pixels. Was the dash worked on before? Rough roads? Really weird..

Agreed. There is probably some sort of delamination of the screen for whatever reason. One of the weirder things I've seen happen to an LCD that receives no chance of getting touched. I'm sure if he removed it and had it repaired he could probably get an even better resolution/ quality display than what they put into the car originally. That's the route I'd go once mine starts acting up.
