A10 transmission problems
What’s the best thing to do with these A10 transmissions after they do the software update for the momentary wheel lockup.I have felt mine slip a couple of times when I got on the gas and have had a couple of hard down shifts I could really feel.

Did you try a transmission relearn? A midrange scan tool should be able to initiate this procedure.

I’m thinking of the valve body upgrade from next gen drivetrain for my a10. I have no issues yet but probably a great idea just to do it asap.

The relearn is a good idea I will try that first I have heard the valve body and sometimes the torque converter is the culprit thanks

Regarding this recall, has their actually been any documented cases of A10 failures on the Camaro? I don't recall anyone posting about one on this forum, or any others.

Any info on the vehicle? Age, mileage, mods? From my understanding the software update was mainly about sending an ses as the trans saw wear before it would lock up the wheels, not that it actually modified the calibration so to speak.
As for the A10, they can take a beating in stock form but will eventually fail like any other transmission. I own and have owned multiple ford and gm 10 speeds. IMO gm has had the valve body calibration dialed in better. My 24 F150 is the closest to the GM in terms of smoothness and gear choice under load etc. I actually did a suncoast cat 2 rebuild on one of my 10l80's for my Camaro. I tried a ratiotek kit in one of the valve bodies had a leak and had to put the other stock valve body in to get the car going. The ratiotek setup did apply more pressure during gear changes and converter lock up. I was just hesitant to modify and ruin another valve body trying it again.

This is exactly why I’m not having the tranny update done. Now you’re in the dark as to the cause / potentially fooling around with relearns. Hopefully you get it ironed out without too much of a headache..

I know it’s like rolling the dice I ordered this car from the factory during COVID and there was a parts shortage it took me 5 months to take delivery but I do really enjoy the 1LE and don’t want to get rid of it.

I was thinking the same thing, never heard a peep about them, the A8 is another story. No personal experience as I have a penis and drive a manual.

You also have a lack self awareness and a touch of immaturity. A large percentage of the best built / fastest cars on this site are sporting automatics. Nothing wrong with having either tranny…tomato / tomatoe
