I love the speed limit display in the cluster and the HUD, too. Such a seemingly small thing, yet feels indispensable, just like Homelink garage door opener on my 2018 that GM deleted from the 2019+.

You could try to find a competent dealership that is aware of the 2020+ nav upgrade kit... or, better yet, hit up Chris White at WAMS, if anyone can help, he will. Here is the radio upgrade product page at his site: https://www.whiteautoandmedia.com/pr...ioprogramming/

I'll have to check. The speed limit shows up on my radar detector so I never looked for it on the NAV.

Speed limit is not displayed. I think it was on earlier models.

Wow, really? No speed limit display on the 2019+? I didn't know that...

...so my 2018 has just become even more valuable Speed limit in HUD and DIC, garage door opener, beautiful front and rear end, what more could I want

Mine stopped showing the speed limit signs. Does the map upgrade bring them back? I get notified yearly that there are $100 map updates available. Didn’t expect they’d take away my speed signs :(

Can also confirm, my '22 shows speed limit on HUD and cluster. Though it's still on the factory NAV update.

I did miss the Homelink but thankfully CarPlay updated to show smart garage openers. I installed Meross MSG100's and have control over both doors through CarPlay/Siri

so jealous i can't lie. but this has to be something that needs to be programmed in because i have every option possible now that i've upgraded to the nav when i just had the plus. all i want now is the speed limit to be displayed. should i go to the dealer and ask them if they can program that or maybe say it was displaying then stopped? i have no clue what to do.

On my 20 I have speed limits in the HUD. I also have OnStar. however to the best of my knowledge the speed limits come from the Nav Data on the card not OnStar. I've also updated the Nav earlier this year to the newest release at the time so have the latest data that is available.

Though even with the latest data, there are still times where I've not had the speed limit or the speed limit is there but has been wrong. This has happened on some country roads and also suburban roads neither out of cellular range, and with good satellite signal. So again makes me believe that the data on the sdcard is simply missing and/or incorrect for those roads. And I could believe that depending on where you live and drive could really contribute to whether that data will be there or accurate.

Just an additional note, sometime on back roads or roads that seem off the beaten path the dash just shows a blank speed limit sign....maybe you live out in the boonies and it doesn't know the speed limit?

Okay, thanks all for the confirmation, this makes more sense than GM quietly removing this feature.

Indeed, speed limit info comes from nav map data, and is missing on some remote or not yet mapped roads. Yet, here in East TN I have it almost everywhere even on most narrow mountain roads, so I'd think coverage should be pretty comprehensive.

Totally forgot about WAMS... I need to do this upgrade on my 24.

My thinking when I ordered was I'd use my phone for that.

I hate CarPlay and Android Auto taking over everything. I use the simple map display more than anything because I'm a man and know where I want to go. It's way nicer having the map displayed all the time to check distance before a turn etc and keep the phone just connected for calls/texts only.
