I am glad to see you finally got time to Dyno the beast dude! I feel like when it comes to Dyno day, you aren't expecting to be so humbled when your expectations of power levels aren't quite met. I know that has been the case with me a few times on other cars and trucks but that's the fun in it all! The power levels you are at are more than enough to keep you satisfied for a while and break stuff too of course! Being that it's a street car I can't imagine you have much higher you want to go power wise if you want reliability to stay intact. You know how I feel about it. Hey, personally I feel like power levels in the 800 range is great for a street car anyways! I like the update, you got some good metrics here for everyone. Now let's see if we can make some cool updates and changes to these engines!

Hell yeah dude. I'm glad you finally got that beast to the Dyno! I'm willing to bet that with a 20 degree ambient temp drop you'll easily get to your 850 RWHP desired power goal no problem. Awesome metrics too. This will definitely help any newcomers and current folks alike in thee next step of doing their mods. Now let's get to working on updating these engines a little bit!

Did you send your old 1.7L back to Kong to have the X-Port done?

exit: Don't blame Ted for not wanting to mess with CARP and EPA type regulations. I (even in Texas) had a hard time finding someone that would remove my secondary cats, so I just decided to go Kooks with high flow cats.......CARB is no joke out that way, and if a shop if busted for doing anything outside of CARB regs it's up to a felony......Shop working my car now here is from Cali and they said the last straw was CARB showing up unannounced to do an inspection on parts/procedures etc....good numbers either way!

Yes sir... sent the blower back to KONG for the new XPORT with top side and coolant passage updates... My standard port was done by Katech. I was really interested in seeing for myself the difference between the two, and really wanted to fix the "falling off" issue I was seeing related to airflow and boost.
Problem solved

I agree, I don't blame Ted for anything... just wanted to finally explain why I had jumped around a bit on tuners...

Interesting you say that... As you know what I'm looking to do this fall. Thanks to both you and radz28 for being part of my personal advisory board. I have been asking myself, this, what's next, why and when does this stop being a continuation of car ownership for me! I'm really struggling on getting my head around the next phase of my own build, should I, why, how much rwhp before I stop enjoying the car on the regular street etc. I think it's difficult to answer because I'm making it difficult to answer! I'll keep you posted !

How long have you had your build at what you're at now? If it hasn't been that long, why not just drive it and enjoy it. Mine at the HP it's at now is exhilarating and always surprises me with what it's capable of. Probably going to stay at this power for some time now as anything more will become more than unusable on the street. Just a thought.

Well... you are suggesting, exactly what I've been thinking !!! I'm at a really good rwhp # now, and not sure +50 to +80 rwhp really elevates much what I want out of my car much and how I drive it! The car feels AWESOME now, so what do I really need, that's what I'm back and forth on !
