Battery maintainer
‘23 SS vert. Is the best option; remove the light bulb from the trunk in order to leave the trunk slightly ajar to keep the battery maintainer attached so I won’t lose any battery power? Old school is telling me yes, but things have changed over the decades. Thanks

Then red alligator clip to the red post (lift the plastic red cover) then black alligator clip to the negative ground (circled yellow). I run my wires up the hood on the windshield reservoir side up to the windshield and out the top of the hood. Easy.

Works perfectly, I've been doing it like this since 2018, never an issue.

Connect under the hood. You can route the wires straight out and not fully shut the hood or you can route out through the grille or up towards the wipers if you want to fully shut the hood. You can also drop straight down and under the car.
This is how I've had my tenders connected from the beginning. Connecting in the trunk is much more "clunky" because you have to move / remove pieces in the trunk just to get to the battery. |

I use a NOCO G15000 Charger/Maintainer mounted in the trunk next to the ride control computer. It's hard wired to the battery so I don't have to remove anything. My setup leaves only the plug and a little bit of the power cord showing. I use a thin extension cord turned flat. I back into my driveway, pop the trunk, plug it into the extension cord, and close the trunk. Been doing it for years without issue. Except when my dumdass drives away without unplugging it.

Ive done both the trunk and hood. Guess it depends on how you part abd how often you take the car out of the garage. during track season I use under the hood during the summer I hook it up through the trunk abd just close the trunk. There is enough cushion in the weather stripping to let the wire bend around it.
As far as which kind, I have a few battery tender brand from when i used them on my motorcycles. I will usually put the 1.25A version on during track season and the .750A on during longer term storage. |

Yep I got a noco genius5 with the direct attachment. I like your setup, will probably duplicate that.
