Probably waiting on that magical mineshaft air of October

The track is to hot and greasy this time of the year to get the best grip.

The DA this time of the year is not conducive to making power.

Apparently you need to lay out big bucks and jump through hoops to get an "official" time and then brag about it.

Tony Romo(real name Roma) says it has been around the "Ring"

But no time listed. Must have been bad or they would have been bragging away

Even if they have an unofficial time using it publicly would require paying the Rings fee.

Some times they just head to the track and pay the lapping fee for the day.

The problem is there are tourists in busses and generally JAGs just out for a cruise so putting down a serious time would be difficult.

I would think they have spotters and would do a few sectors that were clean.

Trust me the guru's at Chevrolet will get it done...eventually

Here is my best guess

The Z06 beats the Mustang GTD's time without a supercharger and at $224,000 less bucks(Mustang $327,960 Vette Z06 $112.100

The ZR1 records a new lap record

The ZR1X sets the bar for the future and starts a new "Ring War" amongst the supercar/hypercar manufacturers.

“The ZR1 managed a 6:50.763 while the hybrid ZR1X shaved that time down to 6:49.275, even beating out the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Meanwhile, the Z06 set a very respectable 7:11.826.”

A lot of factors, driver, track conditions, time of year, etc. I think the times are impressive regardless.

Maybe they should use their pro drivers vs engineers.

I thought the Z06 would be quicker as it is lighter than the GTD's 4300lbs by almost 1000 in its lightest trim and 500 lbs in it heaviest(probably a loaded vert)
