Textile Markers to change stiching color on seats
So I seen several posts on social media of Camaro owners using textile markers to change the stitching color on seats from white to whatever color they want. Typically people use red, but you can match the exterior color of the car. I seen the after pictures and it looks good.
What's everyone's thoughts on this? Has anyone tired this, and did the color hold up? Seems like a cool idea, but I really wonder if the color holds up over time. Thoughts? |

I used a laundry Sharpie to color the grey stitching on my leather 2SS door cards red, to match the rest of the interior of my ZL-1. I had to refresh it once, and it has lasted years. I also colored the shift boot and knee pads. It works.

I like that. Don't care for the white. Black woulda been fine if not red, but don't care for the white. -Might give this a try at some point.

Do you have any issues of the marker coming off on your hands when you drive? |

The sharpies were for the 2SS door cards, knee pads, and shift boot and handle. The steering wheel came with red stitching. When I switched out the doors cards, etc, I specified grey, so they would easily take the red dye.
