Jms installer

Hey guys, sorry idk where to post this, feel free to move. I've called around 15 shops in Vegas and in the Phoenix area, and not one of them will install this for me. Seems like, if its not part of "their" package, they won't do it. I even tried cordes and they refuse to install customer provided parts, even if theyre brand new, in the packaging. So, my question is, who here has installed one of these, are you in arizona/pheonix and how much do I need to pay you? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I cant get my car tuned without it. I have all the crimps to depin if needed, but I just cant do it.

I need a jms voltage booster installed and calibrated. I installed a jlt cai, and messed it all up, installed a throttle body and messed that up too. Those are arguably the two easiest upgrades on the car. I won't touch the booster or probably anything else. At this point, if I cant find someone to install it, probably just going back to stock and selling everything.

Cordes Performance is in AZ isn’t he? He’s built some fast cars, doing a JMS would be cakewalk for them.

OOPS: just saw that you tried them. How about buying it through Cordes and have them do the install? You could easily sell yours on the forum like I did?

This is your best option OP, especially for long term modding and your circumstances. Have Cordes install a JMS booster they supply, then sell your new one on the board or Facebook. Win win.

How do you mess up installing a throttle body? It's 4 bolts and an electrical plug. What happened?

Right! Lol, I bought the wrong spacer, ended up bolting up without it and re installed everything. A member said that the blades hit without a spacer or ported supercharger, totally forgot about that, Im glad I didn't start it. Josh, you're a mind reader, hah, I already messaged them asking that! Currently 3 hours into installing the velossatech, just got the bumper off, rofl.

Great minds think alike.

Sounds like the kind of stuff that used to happen to me when I was a youth and learning how to wrench on my rides which were substantially less nice back then…

Good call, just buy it from them that way if something doesn’t work they can stand behind it.

So Cordes refuses to install the jms booster, he said he had a brand new one go up in smoke, and they refused to warranty it, so they don't do them anymore. I was only getting for the jre package but since I cant install it amd no one will, would it be fine not to use it and have someone else tune it? It's only a zr1 tb, flex fuel, rotofab/jlt if I can get to fit cai, so nothing crazy

I believe (the experts will wake up soon ) that the JMS booster is needed to be able to run flex fuel...with your modifications that may not be the case since they seem limited, but you would only be able to run a mix of ethanol anyways.

So ask Cordes what they ARE willing to install to address low side fueling…

This!

ZR1 throttle body gains you little since the opening of your supercharger is stock diameter.

Just put a drop in green filter in the stock air box, flex fuel sensor, and get it tuned. Run whatever E blend it takes to keep the low side happy. If my memory serves me correctly, you should be fine up around E60 all stock. Some cars are different, but E50-70 range should be ok. Just have to log and see.

They explained that with so few mods e50 would work fine. He suggested I do bgfb/jlt intake, cordes expansion tank, flex fuel sensor, and ethanol gauge. My stock box is broken and I've spent over $1k on intakes, I dont really want to buy another one. The hood won't close with the jlt so probably gonna stick with the regular rotofab. I just bought a second throttle body spacer to go with the throttle body as my first one was for an ss. Since I have it, shouldn't I run it? I was trying to get the janetty flex fuel package and have him tune it before I ran into this jms issue. This car seems so much harder to mod than the ss, idk why, lol. Thanks for the input as always!
