Still thinking about mounting a switched light by that sensor as a jury-rigged solution. I hate my evening commutes home where the sun still calls for my sunglasses but the Camaro decides the long shadows call for me to not be able to see the instrument panel.

If someone comes up with a more sophisticated solution, I'd love to try it.

I think the introduction of alway illuminated clusters was the dumbest thing in automotive. I dont know how many times I've seen people driving around in the dark with their lights off because of it.
If the dash lights are going to always be on the tail lights should be too.
