OP, sounds like no sunroof for you was the right choice from what you said.

When I first optioned up the Camaro, I remembered that and skipped over the sunroof option. That was my gut instinct and after thinking back to my last experience with a sunroof, and thinking about the fact that I'd have to give up the reverse mohawk roof for the luxury of "having the sunroof just in case I wanted to use it!", I decided I made the right choice. Sunroofs just aren't for me. |

I would'nt own one without it. My 2020 Camaro 2SS has a sunroof, 10spd. auto, NPD exhaust and optional gray painted machined faced wheels on a shadow gray w/medium ash gray interior. I also got the premium w/navigation.

Since the days of my T-Top Camaros, both of my Gen 5 Camaros and my Gen 6 had to at least have a sunroof. Makes it a bit less claustrophobic.

It takes too much headroom away from being able to fit inside wearing a helmet, at least for me.

They reduce headroom, add complexity (something else that can break), they can leak, and they raise the cog.
I don't like them. I rarely used the feature on past vehicles I owned, and was afraid to open them on *old* cars due to the fear of not being able to close it, lol, because it rarely was used. |

First gen6 was a convertible 50th... loved it.
Current has a sunroof, and I'm glad I got it with. If the windows are down, then the sunroof is open. Adds to the 'airiness' of the cabin, with more light, too. Would recommend unless you're a track rat, then skip.

No sunroof, as time goes on those drain runners will clog and then you get water in your car when it rains. Nope nope nope, experienced this with my Acura TL back in the day, nope nope nope nope.
Also 6'3 and like to go to the track. Would never fit with a helmet with my height.

A light interior color helps also. Mine is black, which does add to the fighter jet cockpit feel.
We have the exact same sunroof (down to the part number) on another GM vehicle in the family, I think I opened it maybe 2 or 3 times since 2015...

6’1” and love having a sunroof in my Camaro, even though I rarely use it. I’d rather have it and not need it, than need/want it, and not have it. That all being said, it wasn’t a make or break on my purchase(my 17 1SS didn’t have one). It’s just an extra luxury to have access to in my Camaro, when I feel like some light, or light and air.

My old Mercedes would collect water in the small sunroof gaps. Over time the water leaked into the car and caused rust to the point where the sunroof had to come out and all the rust had to be removed. Thousands of dollars in repair. Told myself never again.
Besides, the starlight headliner looks better with no sunroof cutout

My personal opinion, I do not like the Sunroofs... I hate the sun shining in at a weird angle and on the Camaro, I definitely do NOT like the flat roof that is required to support the sunroof, I think it takes away a lot of character from the car... The "Reverse Mohawk" just works so well with the hood lines... Just my opinion, but I would never buy a 6th Gen Camaro with a sunroof...
