10 Speed Transmission Recall on 22 Camaro
I got a letter from GM for a recall on my 10 speed automatic Trans. The letter basically says, The letter says "Your Chev dealer will install new TCM software that will monitor valve performance and detect excess wear approximatel 10k milesbefore a wheel lock up condition could occur. Once detected, the trans will be limited to 5th gear, preventing the possibility of wheel lockup , which occurs in a downshift from 8th gear." Funny because when HPT unlocked my TCM, I had nothing but problems. They ended up sending me a new TCM. So, my TCM is unlocked and tuned by GPI. Any advice on what I should do? GPI isn't aware of anything yet.
