JLT v2 cold air intake

https://sbfilters.com/products/jlt-c...camaro-ss-6-2l

Anyone planning to try this once released?
It looks like it comes with two intake tubes, one for the stock tune, and another for custom tune.

You think a 5” tube would have any gains on a msd intake and 95/103tb car?

With a 103tb directly bolted to the intake? Yeah

I’m thinking to try with a ported lt2 / 95tb

I owned a jlt v1 and did some testing with a msd and a 95tb directly bolted to it. That def ran hard but I didn’t like the design. This looks to have solved that

I just bought a stock 95mm tb. I have recently bought a ported MSD and Rotofab. Now I’m rethinking.

Its STILL not out? They told me February or March of last year. Then they made a post saying it would be out in August of 2024, then teased it again with no release date in November.

I was supposed to be one of the first to get it when I went full bolt on but they just never released it. Its probably overkill for anything under a 103 TB and matching intake, but there might be a couple ponies up top for them. I definitely won't be switching my Rotofab out, but depending on the price it might be a good first option for people looking.

Can't wait to see real world tests.

I wonder how it seals on the top with the hood. I like that they mention a heat shield.

I've spent way too much time looking at this type of stuff. The 1st thing we would need to know is what that filter flows. Toohighpsi tested the flow of the Rotofabs when they 1st came out and they flow 880ish cfm for the dry and 820s for the wet filter. A 4 inch tube flows 800-900 CFM, the 5" would flow 1000+.

95mm non-ported tb flows 850-900, a 103tb flows 1000+
MSD intake flows 900-1000, 950 to 1050 ported
LT2 intake flows 650-750, ported 700-850.

I do not understand enough about how the stock heads and cam affect this, but they are a restriction. Once you put on headers, the exhaust side has issues near the axle back, and a stock NPP flows 600-800 cfm.

So, to take advantage of the JLT system, at a minimum, you would need a ported MSD and a ported 95mm tb or 103tb. This is all the numbers I ran through AI so if you trust that info, this is what I came up with.

AI's best estimate 5-15 rwhp if you had a ported MSD and 103tb, without that 0-5rwhp.

Let us know. I'm thinking of selling my rotofab and getting one. Your setup is an LT2 intake and 95mm tb, right?
