I need guidance (please)

I am a new owner of a Camaro 1LT 2021 and since getting it, I seem to be having nothing but issues. I just had the thermostat replaced which thankfully was covered under the warranty but now just approx 1 month later, my engine light was back on so I took it to the dealer and they are quoting me over $1200 for a cooling fan motor assembly. Is this not covered as it seems to be relative to the thermostat? Any advice would be great.

Unfortunately, they will stick with the "It's not covered under the power train 5 yr warranty and not related to the thermostat issue" line. It's what they do. I had a suspected fuel leak on a different vehicle and was informed that even if it was a leaking injector it wouldn't be covered, a FUEL LEAK! The power train warranty is extremely limited in what parts are covered.

Welcome to the Forum.

Just FYI, the part is about ~$300 if you are so inclined to DIY. So it looks like about $900 in labor and part markup you'd be saving.

Kind of weird the fan is toast in such a young car. Parts do go bunk I suppose. Kind of wonder if they were throwing parts at the CEL? First a T-stat, now a month later it's back and they're gonna throw a fan at it. Do you know what the CEL code was the first time and what it is now?
