OE brake Pads & rotors
Hi,
i'm looking for oe brake pads & rotors, but struggle to find the right one. I've got a Camaro SS (2SS) 2020 with the 4-piston brembo brakes (standard color). The brembo website is telling me to use these one: Brake Pads Front: P 10 064 Width: 132 mm, Thickness: 16 mm, Height: 97 mm Rear: P10071N Width: 115 mm, Thickness: 18 mm, Height: 48 mm -> but only for heavy duty power brakes? there is no alternative given on the website. Rotors Front: 09.N287.21 Diameter: 345 mm, Thickness: 30 mm, Height: 61 mm Rear: 09.A972.11 Diameter: 315 mm, Thickness: 23 mm, Height: 48 mm -> with Brake Code JL9, J55, i don't know if i have these Codes? Looking at the GM parts catalogue is more frustrating as they show me for my '20 SS, 6 brake pads and 6 rotors for the front and all of them should somehow fit with various sizes? Can someone help me? Are the information on the brembo website correct? Thanks in advance. |

He might not have that label in the trunk, GM stopped including it sometime between 2018 and 2019 (see this thread), and the door jamb QR code only has a small subset of the options.
Zavage, I'm not sure if you can order based on GM part numbers, but here they are for the stock 1SS/2SS: Front rotor: 13528522 Rear rotor: 13592623 Front pad kit: 84732488 Rear pad kit: 84732503 The online catalog is indeed confusing; it's showing you all the choices for trim-specific brake configurations (LT, LT1, SS, SS 1LE, ZL1, ZL1 1LE), and the ones you may be interested in for your car (SS, SS1LE, ZL1, ZL1 1LE) are theoretically interchangeable. However, if you want to upgrade from your J6G brake system, you'll need the correct calipers, brake hoses, shields and hardware as well.

J6G is 339 mm on the rear and 345 upfront. In 2023 I replaced the brakes on my 2016 2SS by myself. Front: 13528522 Rear: 85589611 The brake pad part numbers are correct.

Thanks SpeZ, I checked the old rear rotors from my 2018 and indeed they seem to be the 85589611 part you mentioned. The front rotor part # you quoted is the same.
I thought this one was 1LE specific, but I kept the non-1LE brake parts from when I upgraded, and the rear rotors look the same. Interesting, because the other part number that I've had on file for years is also a fit, oh well.

I'll try to find one in the trunk or something usable on the A-pillar. It's the 10 speed automatic. @arpad_m: Some local dealer might have access to parts but i will use RockAuto. From my experience, there are zero problems with shipping & customs to Germany. And thanks for the overview which type of brakes i really have (J6G) ![]() So my shopping list should be like this: Front rotor: 13528522 Rear rotor: 85589611 Front pad kit: 84732488 Rear pad kit: 84732503 RockAuto suggesting me these ones (according to your part numbers): Front rotor: GM GENUINE 177-1264 Rear rotor: GM GENUINE 177-1209 Front pad kit: BREMBO P10064 Rear pad kit: AKEBONO ACT1718 (GM rear one's were like 150€/$, which isn't understandable) |

Rockauto is great, but you will be surprised by the shipping costs since the brake rotors are heavy and everything comes by plane.
Yea, rear pads are that expensive, no clue. But other shops want even more. But the alternative you wrote are ceramic pads. They usually have less dust but have a commonly less bite. To maintain a stable brake balance use same brake pad material.
