Does anyone else notice

Every 6th gen Camaro I’ve seen has waves going down the sides of both quarter panels right over the wheel arches. Am I the only one that notices this? Tell me I’m not crazy

Go out and look at both of your 1/4s from different angles. About 6-8” up from the wheel arches going parallel with the ground there are ripples, almost like warping. I’ve seen it on every one. Hard to photograph but it’s there

You won’t see it looking straight at it, you need to be about 5-6’ back.. it’s in certain angles

It’s from the sound deadening they rolled on the insides of the 1/4s from the factory

Wet Sand, its the orange peel in the paint making you think you see ripples. 3 stage paint correction will eliminate this.

If it isn't the standard orange peel that buyers get as part of the factory paint job "for free" on all cars except Koenigsegg, I have no idea what OP is talking about.

Took another detailed look at my quarter panels from multiple angles, there are no "waves" in the panel (or the bumper) whatsoever.

I do PDR, so I’m not full of shit. The 1/4s have slight imperfections running down the sides of them about 12” long horizontally where sound deadening has been installed on the insides of the 1/4s from the factory. Sorry I have an eye for this, and it’s literally on every 6th gen I’ve seen with my own eyes in person. Go out to your car, open the trunk and pull the liner back and look at the inside of the 1/4s. You’ll see what I’m talking about. You can literally touch the inside of the 1/4 with your finger lightly and see it on the outside the metal is so baby shit soft

I know what you are talking about but it's hard to notice so it's a non-issue imo. The 6th gen Camaro was a bargain for what it cost...especially the 2016-2018's before the price started going up.

Aha, I see. The curse of being a professional and noticing every itty-bitty flaw
