100%. The MM Wild *only* vents to atmosphere if you’re experiencing crankcase pressure, which saves your seals from blowing out if you have a tune that is still being “finished” or you experience detonation. E2X is of no help IMO.

For MM...ill just say this. if you are drag racing or daily the car...get the wild. if you do HPDE/AUTOX then get the mild with recirculating top. DONT get the vented top or oil will spray all over your engine bay

Katech did the same for mine, larger hoses to the valve covers vents was well.

Yep, that's why I like MM, they make a proper catch can for different goals.

Keep in mind, the 6th Gens (Or at least the 2022-2023) ZL1 uses fully baffled valve covers from the factor. I had a MAJOR issue with my E2X CC and oil pooling up BADLY in my blower. The E2X was not not working well with the after market non-baffled valve covers I installed. I switched to MM 1000HP and with the same valve covers the oil issue was all but gone. I then went with fully baffled valve covers, and now I have ZERO issues related to CC and oil.

I only had a mighty mouse wild on mine until I blew out the rear seal. Then I put a breather cap on the oil fill neck

Regardless, I acknowledge the merits of the MM design (and if I knew they made more road-course tailored options I would have considered it more heavily). I think it's disingenuous to say there's no reason to pick the E2X though. The conclusion I drew from trying to pick myself is how terrible both MM's and EE's websites are, and how confusing this is to the lay person like myself. I got so frustrated that I just asked my builder his opinion, and he has had better experiences with the EE can, so that's what I picked. |

In my opinion, the Elite/Tracy Lewis patented design was much better than the original MM designs for capturing oil. You can see this in the independent testing that is on the internet. I think the newer 2 MM revisions (gen 5 and 6, and maybe gen 4) have significantly or completely closed the gap on the design as far as capturing PCV oil goes. I think both website are confusing, but the MM website is slightly better on choosing what you need and getting a complete package. I had to piece my E2X Ultra setup together based on their website and what I needed. It was confusing at best.
There is data out there that shows the E2X 2nd-port venturi barb actually generates a small amount of vacuum while under boost. I really liked the design of the can and setup. They note it to be rated for 1000 at the crank. With my new build phase, I am going with a MM Wild for the 1200hp -12AN setup. I saw there is also a new version of the Motion can that has a check valve, much like the MM can. I think that is another player worth considering as a high-hp alternative.
