Just wondering if someone has made the switch from the LT4 superchargers to a twin turbo system and what were the results?
My application would be for road-racing time-attack style events and looking to add Boost-By-Gear programming with traction control and other updates. Thanks!! |

This is the install Jannetty did. You may find it interesting:

Can't help but to love them twins. winged1 did a (low) mid-mount Huron twin setup on his LT1 with nice results (look several thread down). Try and keep the heat from under the hood area as much as you can with these mids being a better result. With a good boost controller, the boost-by-gear is awesome and can help maintain traction throughout the RPM range. I have been thinking about the twin-charge setup using the Huron system feeding the LT4 SC... Crazy, yea.

Removing the crank driven supercharger will remove twist, drag and heat associated with just driving the SC alone. It will also remove weight on top of the engine and I can either use Air-to-air intercooling or my own water-to-air system. Right now the fastest cars in Time Attack are using Turbos for power adders, and it just seems the evolution should be in that direction. |

Rereading what you originally said combined with this. Are you planning to go motec? Boost by gear is only going to be possible on this platform with a boost controller that can input the individual gear over can. I’m not even sure what controller can do that. My ams 1000 did it on my motorcycle but that was by resistance in the gear position sensor. These 10spds don’t have that. Anything is possible, it just seems like you’re venturing into full blown race car. After watching a YouTube video of your car, it seems likes you’re car is more of a hopped up street car than race car.
