2023 1LE OEM Rear Brake Pads
Getting ready to replace rotors and pads on my '23 1LE (staying with OE for now). Disappointed to learn GM's OE rear pads (P/N 89047744) are ceramic. GM offers a "Gold" aftermarket kit "ACDelco Gold Semi-Metallic Rear Disc Brake Pad Set" - P/N 19469623). I presume the Gold aftermarket pads have greater stopping power than the ceramic pads. Correct? Seems strange the OE rear pads would be ceramic when the fronts are semi-metallic. Anyone have experience with this?

I thought the 1LE pads (and ZL1 pads) are semi-metallic front and back. I track so change them quite often on my 1LE. Are you sure you have the part # right?

Yeah, the stock rears on an SS 1LE aren't ceramic. They are Ferodo semi-metallics (might be branded as Brembo, but they are Ferodo pads).

As far as stopping power, I just replaced mine to Z26, they are carbon ceramic pads. I think she stops same as stock Brembo pads, if not better. I have the big brake upgrade on her.
