For anyone wanting the Amazon deal on the front rotors, Walmart has the same deal.

They are back to $466 for me now, too.

Weird, but really glad I got a pair on order before the price change!

Are the 177-1247 for the ZL1 interchangeable for both front sides of the '21 SS 1LE?

I get a part number of 177-1193(L) and 177-1194(R) when I look up front rotors for the SS 1LE.

Nope. SS 1LE rotors are 370mm, these ZL1 units are 390mm.

You can switch to a ZL1 front brake setup wholesale, of course, but I don't see a good enough reason for the excess weight unless you track the car.

Thanks for confirming, was hoping I could use these as it's such a good deal.

I do track the car quite a bit but can also go replacement rings only and that would be way cheaper than swapping to a ZL1 setup.

Thanks again arpad_m much appreciated!

You do know the Copper Free brakes are just the standard ZL1 Rotors and a copper free brake pad? You don’t have to replace with a copper free brake pad. The only thing different is that if you want to have the dealership in CA do the work or buy pads through dealership they will only sell the copper free. You can buy regular ZL1 rotors and regular ZL1 replacement pads or the equivalent from any other MFG. They don’t have to be Copper Free.

Copper free is the pads themselves isn't it? Regardless, I was able to purchase the rotors from Amazon here in California.

Actually the front BCD rotors are slightly larger at 398mm, versus 390.2mm for non-BCD ones.

I'm not saying you can or cannot use non-BCD rotors with BCD calipers, someone else can confirm that, but the rotors (at least the front ones) are slightly different.

Geoff

Geoff has it right. 398mm vs 390mm

I have the BCD package and I am going to see if the 390mm rotor will work with the BCD caliper. I've been told the caliper is different but I want to see myself.
