When I bought my SS, i test drove both an automatic and a manual. I loved them both. The determining factor for me was the launch. The automatic seemed uneventful compared to launching and powershifting the manual. I bought the M6.
I have driven it across the country and back. I have driven in downtown Chicago, downtown Los Angeles, etc. Never regretted it. Again, both are great, just my preference for the fun factor. |

I think no matter what you buy, there’s always going to be some regret because we have so many different options when it comes to cars. I currently am heavily regretting buying a Camaro again instead of trying something different and also regretting going SS 1LE (not really different on public roads versus the regular SS). I know personally I’d regret going auto over the manual. It would probably be fun at first and then get boring.

What would have you gotten instead in the same price bracket?

Supra or just something used for the same price. Also I’ve learned there’s more to cars than just performance per dollar. Sometimes how a car feels matters more. Before you say a Supra isn’t in the same price bracket as a Camaro, it was only 3k more than my 2SS 1LE.
